Monte Cara is a distinctive mountain on the island of São Vicente and stands as the defining symbol of the port city of Mindelo. Although its height of 490 meters is modest compared to other peaks, its unique silhouette is world-renowned; when viewed from a specific angle, the jagged ridgeline resembles the profile of a human face looking toward the sky.
