📋 Practical info

📅
Best season
The Oceanário de Aracaju is open year-round, providing constant access to the tanks. A visit is especially worthwhile during the Brazilian school holidays, when extra guided tours and activities are offered.
🌅
Best time of day
In the morning, the tanks are usually quieter and the animals more active, not yet stressed by visitor crowds. Late afternoon can also be pleasant, when crowds disperse and feedings take place.
📜
Etiquette
Do not touch the exhibition animals or tap on the glass so as not to startle them. Photography without flash is allowed, but loud shouts or jumping in front of the tanks are prohibited.
🎒
What to bring
A camera with good low-light performance is helpful, as the interior lighting of the tanks is often dim. Comfortable shoes and light clothing are recommended, as the oceanarium has multiple levels and exhibition halls.
🧭
Getting there
The Oceanário de Aracaju is located in the city of Aracaju, state of Sergipe, and is easily reachable by car or taxi. It lies near the beach promenade and has parking spaces in the area.
🦌
What to expect
Weekends can be particularly crowded - therefore plan enough time for your visit to be able to view the tanks calmly. Turtles and fish often show their most interesting behaviour only after a few minutes.
