Liuteranskaia kirkha

The former Lutheran Church in Polotsk is a striking architectural monument dating back to the late 19th century. Built in 1888 to serve the local German and Baltic communities, this red-brick structure is a classic example of Neo-Gothic architecture. Following periods of historical upheaval, the church ceased its religious functions in the early 20th century. After undergoing significant restorations, the building was thoughtfully repurposed and today proudly houses the Polotsk Local Lore Museum. The museum features extensive exhibits detailing the rich cultural, social, and economic history of the Polotsk region from its earliest days to modern times.
