Bongoville is a modern town in the Haut-Ogooué Province of southeastern Gabon, holding significant historical and political prominence. Originally known as Lewai, the town was renamed in honor of the late President Omar Bongo Ondimba, who was born there. Due to this prestigious connection, Bongoville has benefited from substantial infrastructure investments, making it one of the most well-equipped small towns in the country. Notable facilities include a modern sports stadium and high-quality road links to the provincial capital, Franceville.
