The chapel is noted for its architectural simplicity and its tripartite facade crowned by a three-tiered bell gable (espadaña). Over the centuries, it has served various functions and undergone several restorations to maintain its structural integrity. The interior is known for its serene atmosphere and fine wooden ceiling craftsmanship. Located on Calle Las Damas, the oldest paved street in the Americas, it is an integral part of the city's religious and cultural landscape.
