Mont-Tremblant
Set 130 kilometers northwest of Montreal, Mont-Tremblant revolves around its 875-meter high peak. At the base of the mountain lies a colorful pedestrian village with cobblestone paths, resembling a traditional European alpine settlement. A free open-air cabriolet lift transports visitors from the lower parking areas directly to the main ski lifts and village squares. During the winter months, the mountain provides 102 ski trails distributed across four slopes. When the snow melts, the Mont-Tremblant National Park opens up for extensive hiking, canoeing on the Diable River, and cycling along the P'tit Train du Nord linear park. The nearby Circuit Mont-Tremblant, a former Formula One track, hosts various motorsport events throughout the summer. Autumn is particularly busy when the thick maple forests covering the Laurentian Mountains turn bright red and orange, peaking from late September to mid-October. The area is also known for hosting massive sporting events, including the annual Ironman triathlon, drawing thousands of international competitors to its lakes and roads.
